Billy Pace

Billy has done multiple commercials over the years. He got his start working under Marteen Andruet in the 1990s in NYC helping with keyboard and drum programming on many ad campaigns. His first commercial that he composed on his own was a techno track for Philips electronics that was directed by Tony Scott (Man on Fire, Enemy of the State) and produced by Tony Frere and Satellite Films. Following this successful collaboration he and Tony Frere did a number of commercials together over the next few years including a Volkswagen Jetta ad. His next major project was writing and co-producing the song ”US” in 1998 for Celine Dion which was on the album “Let’s Talk About Love” that went on to sell more than 30 million copies worldwide. After that he moved to Los Angeles to develop other writing projects including a hip-hop musical about 80’s NYC artist Jean Michel Basquiat and another musical in development now. He has continued to work in advertising when the opportunity has arisen most recently having done a national spot for Time-Warner Cable directed by Charlie Watson. His latest project is developing a young artist who is also a budding Nascar driver which is a first in both the music and racing worlds. Billy is also an artist himself in the genre of singer-songwriters like David Gray and Brandi Carlisle. His expertise as a music programmer and producer spans all facets of music and his ability to traverse genres makes him a true chameleon and asset to whatever project he is involved with.
